Liu Dan Actively Responds to FRANCOIS’s Call and Generously Provides a Series of Precious Historical Photos to Support the Construction of the “New Century Flying Tigers”

Mr. Liu Dan — Advisor to the CCC Global Presidential Friends Club (the political think tank under ACFC), Executive Director of the Research Association for Historical Figures of the CPC, and President of the Jinggang Red Army Figures Research Association — responded immediately and enthusiastically to FRANCOIS’s initiative. He has officially joined the Senior Advisory Group of the New Century Flying Tigers (comprising families and descendants of WWII heroes), personally curated and provided a collection of precious historical photographs featuring himself, revolutionary families, and key historical figures, and formally authorized their official release on the ACFC website. Through these concrete actions, he is carrying forward the spirit of the WWII Flying Tigers, promoting the traditional friendship between the Chinese and American peoples, and infusing the ACFC New Century Plan (All Children Future Care) with red revolutionary genes and profound historical significance.

Mr. Liu Dan (original name: Liu Xiaonan), born in February 1942 in the revolutionary holy land of Yan’an, is a member of the Communist Party of China and a senior engineer. His father, Liu Yin, served as captain of the 6th Radio Squad of the First Front Army of the Red Army and later as Vice Minister of the former Fourth Ministry of Machine-Building Industry. As a descendant of the red revolutionary tradition, Mr. Liu Dan has remained true to his original aspiration throughout his life. In his early career, he devoted himself to national defense, military industry, and the electronics information sector, organizing and implementing major national projects such as the People’s Bank of China data network and the People’s Daily publishing transmission system.After retirement, he dedicated himself fully to the study of CPC historical figures and the inheritance of red culture. He serves as President of the Jinggang Red Army Figures Research Association, organizes lecture teams composed of Red Army descendants, promotes the standardization of red education, and has engaged in deep cooperation with ACFC to jointly conduct specialized research on historical figures from both the Kuomintang and the Communist Party after the 1911 Revolution.

Since becoming an advisor to the America-China Friendship Council in 2017, he has consistently been guided by the principle of “personal friendship transcending boundaries to promote shared prosperity and security,” and has actively participated in people-to-people diplomacy between China and the United States as well as the construction of a global friendship network. In response to FRANCOIS’s call, Mr. Liu Dan stated:“The spirit of the Flying Tigers is a symbol of friendship forged in blood between the Chinese and American peoples. As a descendant of the red revolution, I am willing to use my family’s revolutionary history as a bridge to join hands with global families and descendants of WWII heroes to jointly safeguard peace and protect the next generation, allowing the glory of history to illuminate the future.”He has specially curated dozens of precious historical photographs spanning decades, covering intimate group photos with himself, family members, revolutionary predecessors, Party and state leaders, and international friends. These images not only document personal growth and family stories but vividly reflect key interpersonal exchanges during China’s revolutionary journey, the post-WWII reconstruction period, and early Sino-US interactions, possessing significant historical and educational value.

The series of photo collections provided by Mr. Liu Dan (partial selections shown in the attached images) include:

1993 group photo at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse before accompanying Comrade Zou Jiahua to receive an Intel delegation;

Warm group photos with Li Min, Li Na (daughters of Mao Zedong), Deng Lin, Lin Doudou (daughter of Lin Biao), etc.;

Heartwarming meetings with senior revolutionaries such as Wang Zhen and Uncle Xi Zhongxun;

Important historical moments with 95-year-old Aunt Chen Shuying (wife of Ren Bishi), Comrade Li Tieying (both during work and after retirement), Comrade Jiang Zemin and his wife, Comrade Hu Qili, etc.;

Cordial conversations with Zou Jiahua’s wife Sister Ye Chumei, Uncle Yang Shangkun, group photos with Comrade Yu Zhengsheng, and international exchange photos with Comrade Chen Yuan in the United States, etc.;

These photographs form a vivid red revolutionary scroll, demonstrating the intergenerational transmission of revolutionary traditions and providing valuable historical mirrors for the “New Century Flying Tigers.” ACFC expresses heartfelt gratitude and will properly display and permanently archive these precious materials, allowing more Chinese sons and daughters at home and abroad, as well as descendants of WWII heroes, to draw spiritual strength from them.

At present, substantial progress has been made in President Trump’s “Board of Peace” peace process, with the Gaza ceasefire and reconstruction entering a new phase — this is precisely the moment for civil society forces to play a prominent role. ACFC sincerely invites more families and descendants of WWII heroes, Flying Tigers descendants, and descendants of Republic of China generals and marshals worldwide to actively respond to the call issued by FRANCOIS, son of His Excellency Mr. Zhang Zhengquan, to join the “New Century Flying Tigers,” jointly support the ACFC New Century Plan, and together build a global peaceful family free from hunger, fear, conflict, and war!
