In remembrance and deep condolences to Ms. Anna Chan Chennault!

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Ms. Anna Chan Chennault, a distinguished overseas Chinese leader, social activist, widow of General Claire Lee Chennault of the Flying Tigers, and our dear friend. She passed away on March 30, 2018, at her home in the Watergate complex in Washington, D.C., USA, at the age of 94, due to complications from a stroke. She lived a legendary life, and she will be forever remembered and deeply missed.

February 20, 2026, Yulin, Guangxi ,Eighty years ago, above the skies of Guangxi, the American Volunteer Group (AVG), known as the Flying Tigers, fought side by side with soldiers and civilians of Guangxi, writing an epic chapter of China-US joint resistance against fascism.General Chennault’s command was stationed at Yangtang Airport in Guilin. The people of Guangxi built airfields, transported supplies, rescued pilots, and provided intelligence, forging an unbreakable friendship forged through life-and-death battles.Ms. Anna Chan Chennault herself experienced the hardships of fleeing Guilin during the war and later became the eternal guardian of the Flying Tigers legacy.

The father of Professor Guo Youzhong was a distinguished general who defended Ningbo during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and fought alongside the Flying Tigers to inflict heavy damage on the Japanese warship Izumo.

Professor Guo personally translated Chennault & the Flying Tigers by Anna Chan Chennault and established deep, long-standing ties with the guardians of the Flying Tigers heritage.

Today, this friendship across the Pacific shines with new-era glory in Yulin, the cradle of the Guangxi patriotic spirit.

On February 19, 2026, just yesterday, Yulin, known as the Capital of Star Anise & Spices, successfully held the First Table of One Global Family — a warm round-table gathering that embodies the spirit of “beyond blood ties, one family.”

The ACFC New Century Initiative and the 2026 “Human Future – Earth & Clean Water” Industrial IP Queen Global Pageant were launched here. Amid the fragrance of organic star anise, entrepreneurs, youth ambassadors, and agricultural service platforms gathered to discuss a sustainable future. This is the finest continuation of the Guangxi spirit in the new era.

In the late 1920s, General Li Zongren stationed his troops in Xingye County, Yulin, established cadre training institutes and officer training units, laying the foundation for the New Guangxi Clique’s principles: Protect the Motherland, Openness & Inclusiveness, Pragmatism & Patriotism.

In this spirit, we solemnly proclaim:The Guangxi Flying Tigers (Civilian Volunteer Alliance) is officially established!
