Today, the CCC Global Presidential Friends Club is pleased to note the positive progress achieved by Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives, which embodies the spirit of responsible governance and the possibility of cross-party cooperation.Despite the risk of yet another prolonged government shutdown pushed by Democrats, the Republican majority demonstrated unity and efficiency, successfully passing 11 of the 12 appropriation bills and achieving a milestone by restoring "regular order" for the first time in years. As a result, 96% of federal government operations now have stable funding in place.The Club particularly commends the Republicans' ongoing efforts to advance the final appropriation bill for the Department of Homeland Security. This legislation provides vital resources to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), the Coast Guard, the Secret Service, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)—especially timely as communities across the United States recover and rebuild from winter storm disasters. This action reflects a genuine commitment to the well-being of the people and national security.
