The American Chinese Friendship Council (ACFC) originates from the extraordinary vision and lifelong dedication of His Excellency C.C. Chang, marking a significant milestone in the history of U.S.-China folk diplomacy.

Founder: His Excellency C.C. Chang
His Excellency C.C. Chang immigrated to Los Angeles with his father in 1959. From 1960 onward, he devoted himself with unparalleled passion and wisdom to U.S.-China folk diplomacy, forging personal friendships with successive U.S. presidents—beginning with President Kennedy and extending to many subsequent leaders. His Excellency C.C. Chang personally participated in pivotal events such as President Nixon's historic visit to China, earning profound gratitude from presidents including Reagan and George H.W. Bush.

At 97 years of age, His Excellency C.C. Chang remains ACFC's most precious living historical witness and spiritual beacon. His Long Beach residence — home since 1960 and host to numerous political figures from the U.S., China, and Global — houses an extensive collection of presidential photographs and historical archives. It is planned to be permanently bequeathed to ACFC as a private museum-style property, eternally preserving this cross-border non-blood friendship.

Organizational Legacy and Current Structure
ACFC was renamed and registered as a commercial entity, jointly established by His Excellency C.C. Chang and Mr. Jason Lin (Lin Yaoxian). The current President of ACFC, Mr. Jason Lin (Lin Yaoxian), holds a lifelong appointment. He leads the team in faithfully continuing the mission of American Chinese people-to-people friendship pioneered by His Excellency C.C. Chang, expanding it into a grand vision of global, cross-stratum, universally shared brilliance.

Eternal Mission
Rooted in the illustrious history personally witnessed by His Excellency C.C. Chang, ACFC employs BBQ (Big Benefit Quality) theory and practice to connect sincere friendships from ordinary citizens to national leaders. We are committed to:

Permanently preserving His Excellency C.C. Chang's historical archives and Long Beach residence;

Researching intergenerational family ties and surname roots;

Advancing the "Global Family" service plan beyond 2026, promoting universal kindness and generational inheritance.

Every photograph of His Excellency C.C. Chang with world leaders, every story of personal friendship, represents humanity's most precious non-blood bond.

We will guard this light of trust—spanning eras, borders, and generations—with humility and steadfast resolve.
